"Beautiful together" – or: Why we sometimes work like clairvoyants on autopilot without you
Dear customers,
We need to talk. Don't worry – nothing dramatic! But sometimes we feel a bit like magicians without a wand. Or golfers without clubs. Or a delivery service without a house number. (Okay… the last one actually happens more often.)
We love what we do: personalized gifts and unique items that are meant to be exactly as they are intended. her she presents to you. For this, however, we need an ingredient that cannot be laser-cut, sliced, or engraved: Communication . And specifically the friendly kind that warms you up – not the kind that makes us feel like we've accidentally criticized the coffee machine.
1. The matter of the addresses – a case for “Aktenzeichen XY”
Lately we've been experiencing a curious phenomenon: orders without a house number. Or without a street address. Or with a postal code that seems more suited to the ISS.
When the parcel service desperately inquires in orbit, we sometimes receive emails that sound as if we personally have sorted the universe incorrectly.
A little tip: If the address is complete, the package will definitely arrive more reliably. And if you're having packages delivered to your workplace, simply include the company name and department designation. Otherwise, you'll drive your colleagues and the delivery person crazy.
2. The incomplete payment – or: “That’s sorted out already, right?”
We produce personalized products. And they are very happy when they know they have been paid.
Sometimes, however, we wait patiently… and wait… and wait.
Meanwhile, the material lies ready and sighs softly like a golf club in winter storage.
3. Proofs: No silent artwork, please!
Before we engrave anything, we want to be sure that the name, date, or little golfer smiley is exactly as you want it.
We will send you a proof copy.
And if there's no answer for days, we sit here like we're on the last hole before the birdie putt, wondering: "Take the risk or try again?"
Spoiler alert: We prefer to play it safe. So please just write "passt!" – even without punctuation if necessary.
4. Friendliness is the new premium upgrade
Emails without a greeting, without a thank you – but with maximum desperation – sometimes come across as if someone had insulted the sender's grandmother. And all we want to do is create a beautiful product!
We're real people, not robots (even if our lasers pretend to be). A friendly message brightens our day so much. And – little inside joke – friendly customers often get the most beautiful engravings. Pure correlation, of course… right?
